Operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Chief Joseph Dam is the second-largest hydropower producing dam in the United States. This powerhouse is over a third of a mile long and holds 27 house-sized turbines. Alone, it provides enough power to supply the whole Seattle metropolitan area. Oatridge Security Group (OSG) performed armed security and access control duties at access points along the dam. We patrolled the facilities and other posts as instructed. An on-site Security Officer served as a visible deterrent to crime, and client rule infractions. We detected suspicious activities and reported any criminal activity to the authorities.
